Charity Ezzell is originally from Pennsylvania but has called Mississippi home for more than 20 years. Her passion for music began in childhood while taking piano lessons and continued to grow throughout her life. Inspired by that love of music, she pursued a bachelor’s degree in music at Pensacola Christian College.
After graduating, Charity began her teaching career and has now spent more than 25 years helping students develop their musical abilities. She finds great joy in guiding students as they grow in confidence, refine their skills, and achieve their musical goals.
Her Brandon, Mississippi studio is a welcoming, distraction-free space built for focused, joyful learning on a fine acoustic piano — where students grow real musicianship: reading, technique, theory, and the confidence to play the music they love.

Ages 5–7. Playful first lessons that build note reading, rhythm, and a confident, curious start at the keys.
Ages 8–12. Developing pianists building technique, theory, and repertoire — with recitals and clear milestones along the way.
Ages 13 to adult. New or returning students welcome — learn the songs you love at a relaxed, encouraging pace, no experience needed.

Absolutely. Charity welcomes complete beginners, returning adults, and advancing students of every age. No prior experience is needed — just a willingness to learn.
Weekly private lessons are 30 minutes each. We’ll talk through your goals and find a regular time at your free intro lesson.
Lessons are taught in Charity’s private studio in Brandon, Mississippi, conveniently serving families across Rankin County including Flowood, Pearl, and the greater Jackson area.
Yes — regular home practice is essential to progress. A full-size acoustic piano or a weighted-key digital keyboard works well. Charity is happy to advise on choosing an instrument.
